Elif Arpacı completed her undergraduate education in Psychology in English at Istanbul Fatih University. During this period, she interned in the psychiatric outpatient clinics and inpatient wards of Bakırköy Mental and Neurological Diseases Hospital, Istanbul University Medical Faculty, and Bezmialem Vakıf University Hospitals. She completed her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Üsküdar University and subsequently earned a second master’s degree in MBA in Berlin.
In the early stages of her career, she gained experience working in the psychological counseling and guidance departments of various private educational institutions focused on child and adolescent psychology. She is a certified practitioner of the WISC-R Intelligence Test and child development tests. Throughout her career, she has followed the cognitive therapy school and received CBT Training from Prof. Dr. Hakan Türkçapar and EMDR Level 1 Training from Clinical Psychologist Emre Konuk. Additionally, she successfully completed the Sexuality and Sexual Therapies Therapy – Module I Training organized by CETAD. She holds certifications in Family Counseling and Psychological First Aid. She has completed the performance enhancement program for exams and the PERGEL Training. She has also participated in workshops such as Compassion-Focused Therapy for Children and Adolescents, CBT Application in Treating Eating Disorders in Adolescents, and Working with Children and Adolescents Using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
She has played a significant role as a team leader in the “Geç Değil” Social Responsibility Project managed by the Ministry of National Education, aimed at preventing addiction in adolescents. During this process, she took part in numerous seminars attended by both adolescents and their parents.
For many years, she has continued to provide psychological counseling services to adolescent and adult individuals at a private counseling center. With the pandemic, she has primarily conducted her work online. In her long-term work with adults and adolescents, she utilizes effective therapy methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Additionally, she provides support to her clients as an EMDR Level 1 Practitioner. Her areas of expertise include exam anxiety, anger management, stress management, anxiety disorders, and depression. Since 2023, she has been residing in Berlin to complete her MBA program and continues to offer psychotherapy services online.
